What parts are used at Autocentre Chorley?

All the parts we use match the quality of the manufacturer’s original equipment parts (OE matching quality). This means they match the quality of the parts used by the vehicle manufacturer and allow us to carry out servicing that will maintain your dealership warranty.

Will my car lose its warranty if I have it serviced with you?

If you choose to service your vehicle with us then your dealership warranty will be protected.

Despite what some main dealers may tell you, are not obliged to get your vehicle serviced with them during warranty periods. The EC block exemption regulation 1400/2002 which came into effect in October 2003 means that by law, if independent garages service your vehicle to main dealer specifications using original equipment “matching quality” parts, your main dealer warranty will be maintained.

Do you have courtesy cars available?

Yes, we have multiple courtesy cars available.

Can you repair my vehicle if it fails the MOT?

Yes. We have fully trained technicians and dedicated repair ramps in order to get you back on the road as soon as possible if your vehicle fails its MOT. Our MOT retesting is free of charge providing the vehicle is retested within 10 days of the original test; this is the case whether we carry out the repair work or you choose to take the vehicle to another garage or repair it yourself.

Can you remind me when my MOT is due?

Yes, if you register your vehicles here we can set you up a SMS/Email or postal reminder.

My MOT has ran out, can I still drive my car?

No. It is illegal to drive a car once your MOT has expired.  The only exception to this is if you are driving your vehicle to a pre-booked test at an MOT testing station.

How long does an MOT take?

This is dependant upon the condition of the vehicle, but usually it takes between forty minutes to an hour to complete.

How often should I check my tyres?

We recommend checking your tyres around once a month and before any long journey. Checks should include checking the air pressure, tread depth and overall condition of the tyre. If you have any doubt, just call into Autocentre Chorley and we will complete a free tyre check for you.
